I bought these because I dropped a flashlight in the lake. Fortunately I got it back, but it was not a great experience. I put these on my wife and my bcd. They are excellent. Smooth action, plenty of length, and no worries about losing our lights while getting our dive set up!
I am using it as retractor for my wet wading staff, it’s great I have it attached to my wading belt and it still has enough length for me to using wading staff .
